On April 24, 2024, the inaugural meeting and standards review session of the Seventh Power Industry Power Plant Valves Standardization Technical Committee was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Attendees included committee members, representatives, and specially invited experts from 40 organizations nationwide, including research institutes, power design institutes, universities, power generation companies, and equipment manufacturers.
Participants jointly explored development trends and future directions within the power industry, with in-depth discussions centered on innovation and advancement in power plant valve standardization technology. Global Valve Group, leveraging extensive R&D experience and technical achievements accumulated over years in the power plant valve sector, engaged in thorough exchanges with attendees.
This conference reviewed ten power industry standards submitted for review, including:
Guidelines for Acoustic Emission Leak Detection Technology in Thermal Power Plant Valves
Technical Guidelines for Power-Driven Relief Valves in Power Plant Boilers “Guidelines for Power Station Valve Maintenance Part 8: Power Station Steam Extraction Check Valves,” and “Guidelines for Power Station Valve Maintenance Part 10: Minimum Flow Valves for Power Station Boiler Feedwater Pumps.” Following thorough review and discussion by committee members and experts, a unified evaluation opinion was reached. The drafting teams will carefully revise and refine the standards based on this feedback to prepare final drafts for approval.
