Detailed product information
1. The check valve is designed to allow the medium to flow in only one direction and prevent reverse flow. As a rule, this valve operates automatically: under the pressure of the flow in the working direction, the gate opens; when the flow reverses, the pressure of the medium and the weight of the gate press it against the seat, blocking the flow.
2. The swing check valve has a hinge mechanism and a valve that rests freely on the inclined surface of the seat, similar to a door. To ensure correct positioning of the valve on the seat each time it closes, the hinge mechanism is designed so that the valve has a sufficient angle of rotation and ensures full contact with the seat. The gate can be made entirely of metal, or with leather/rubber inserts or a synthetic coating, depending on the operating requirements. When the swing check valve is fully open, the flow of the medium encounters virtually no resistance, so the pressure drop across the valve is relatively small.
