Cryogenic Valve

Detailed product information

1. In accordance with standard requirements, ball valves with an operating temperature below -50°C typically feature an extended neck design to increase the temperature in the gland seal area and ensure reliable stem sealing. The neck length usually meets standard requirements, but can be modified according to the customer's special requirements as specified in the contract.

2. In valves for cryogenic media, when the valve is closed, the liquid remaining in the middle cavity evaporates when heated, causing a sharp increase in volume and an abnormal increase in pressure, which can lead to valve failure. Our ball valves are equipped with an automatic pressure relief system: in the event of an abnormal increase in pressure in the middle cavity, the medium is automatically discharged, displacing the seat, which ensures the safety of the valve.

3. Cryogenic testing can be performed upon contract request to verify torque and tightness at low temperatures. Valve components undergo cryogenic treatment to ensure dimensional and shape stability at low temperatures.
